connect with Primal movement

Running is a primal movement – it’s what gave humans the edge when we first evolved on the plains of Africa some 200,000 years ago. To run is to tap into the very essence of human instinct; one we’re all born with. It’s also one of life’s great levellers, in the modern world. No matter a person’s ability, the positive effects on mental and physical health are the same.

Whether it’s working with disadvantaged young people from inner-city London, or with refugees on the Kent coast who find themselves thousands of miles from home and loved ones, being a Primal Runner helps us put our past behind us through the power of running head long toward reachable goals.

A universal sport

Community Outreach

The club has a partnership with our favourite football club’s community outreach team – QPR Community Trust – through which we offer experiences for young Londoners in the wilds of Kent – trails, woodlands and coastline rich in history and opportunities for adventure. In some cases, it may even be the first sight of the sea, for young people taking part.

 Youth Groups

In addition to young Londoners, we work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in Kent – particularly Thanet, Ashford, Folkestone and Dover.

Refugees

Every week we join forces with an international running crew in Folkestone.

Everyone else

Runners looking to connect to a social mission are always welcome.
